2017 Odyssey Night Presentation ~ Presentation from an informational session lead by Ms. English on Odyssey of the Mind.

I’m very happy to be a part of the #PHESBulldogs family! I am originally from Long Island, NY (proudly representing Ronkonkoma, Exit 59 on the L.I.E) and graduated with my degree in English/Secondary Education in 1992 from St. Joseph’s College. Life took me on a southern journey, teaching in Georgia and North Carolina before moving to Virginia. I lived in Newport News, and earned my Gifted Endorsement from The College of William & Mary in 2007, and my Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from Averett University in 2008. I moved to NOVA in 2010, and live in Alexandria.

My favorite thing to do when I’m not teaching is hanging out with my dog, Mika. She is a Dogue de Bordeaux, (otherwise known as a French Mastiff), and is a giant 112 lb bundle of love. She is very gentle and loves to be petted, especially when watching tv on the couch. She even graduated from a training program, and she is a Certified Emotional Therapy Dog and a Canine Good Citizen. If you stop by my room, you can see her graduation picture with her cap on! @APSHenryAP Cameron Snyder has had to handle more than any leader should be expected to over the past 12 days. We have learned that there are no guarantees in life, but I am grateful for your compassion, empathy, strength, and support. https://t.co/2g9O8QwYjZ

@coachpondkey @APSVirginia VERY true, my friend. She was one of a kind and will be sorely missed. We love how she embraced teaching the whole child and accepting each student and family with opens arms and heart. We need more leaders like Annie.
